About Edinburgh Festival of Cycling:
The purpose of the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling (EdFoC) is to celebrate all aspects of cycling in and around the City of Edinburgh, including travel, leisure, adventure, transport, sport, personal development. Recognizing cycling's importance for encouraging social inclusion and economic development reducing ill health and pollution and for making places. Spokes is a voluntary organisation with over 1000 members, mainly in Edinburgh and Lothian. We support all active and public transport, but particularly cycling for everyday transport. We lobby councils and government for cycle infrastructure and for measures to tame the car. Other activities include public meetings, traffic counts, stalls and quality bike maps (over 120,000 sold).
