Bicycle Film Festival is returning virtually to the 2023 National Bike Summit. The BFF began in New York City in 2001 by Brendt Barbur after being hit by a bus while riding a bicycle. The in-person Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating and promoting bicycles through art, film and music around world in over 100 cities to an audience of one million people.
BFF presents all new international selection of short films celebrating the bicycle in all its forms for the 2023 National Bike Summit. The 90 minute program features stories about:
- A family gives up everything to be together in their motorhome, traveling from bike park to bike park across Europe.
- The 1900 mile bicycle journey by Erick Cedeno (Bicycle Nomad) retracing the original route of the Buffalo Soldiers.
- Paralympic gold medalist, Meg Fisher and young para athlete, Jack Berry navigate life's obstacles with grace, integrity, and each other
- A portrait of Ron Holden and Ride for Black Lives, a movement to spread the message of equality through open-to-all group rides around Los Angeles
- The story of Reza Alizadeh, a blind bicycle mechanic in Mashhad, Iran.
- An international collective of unapologetically Black cyclists reclaiming the freedom and joy of the outdoors.
- Olympian and queer cyclist, Lea Davison proves that you don’t have to choose between who you love and the sport you love.
- The story of 17-year-old Nigel James, a Diné mountain biker who hosts the first ever Enduro race in the Navajo Nation, and honors their land, community, and culture through revitalizing trails

How does the virtual Bicycle Film Festival work? A ticket allows you to view the 90 minute program at anytime from Sunday, March 26 at 12:00PM ET through to Sunday, April 30 at 11:59 PM ET streamed to your computer, tablet, or smart TV by simply clicking on the link provided by email after you purchase or code redemption. If purchased or redeemed before Sunday, March 26 at 12:00pm ET, streaming links will be emailed 15 minutes before the start at 11:45am ET on Sunday, March 26. You may view BFF in one sitting, or as you will, from the comfort and safety of your home.
