The Great Gatsby's 100th Birthday
A dinner party with games and musical guests
Thu, Apr 10 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm
The Great Gatsby was published on April 10, 1925.
We're celebrating it on its actual 100th birthday — April 10, 2025 — exactly a century from the day it was first published.
Reservations are now available for the mahogany-lined Fireside Room, a room that existed back in 1925. With its literary ambiance and old-world glamour, it could almost be a room in Jay Gatsby's mansion.
Since there's that fabulous piano, we invited musical guests.
Live music
Genius Award-winning theater artists — composer Chris Jeffries and actress and singer Sarah Rudinoff — will perform 2-3 pieces of music at 7 pm.
Then at 7:30 pm, Sorrento star Shawn Schlogel will take over on piano — and he takes requests! He can perform whatever song you want in the style of 1925. Also, we can sing along! Have you ever been to a party where people gather around the piano and sing along? Elton John, Chappell Roan, Cole Porter... whatever you want!
Drink specials
Mint juleps, gin rickeys, champagne, and scotch were what Scott Fitzgerald and Dorothy Parker were knocking back at those massive parties. We'll have drink specials like that. There will also be a non-alcoholic mocktails.
Eat dinner at the party
There's a $25 minimum on food and drink per person, not included in the ticket price.
Dress code
There is no dress code — it's Seattle. However! If you are a good person, you will dress like it's 1925, or you'll wear something formal or sparkly or speakeasy-ish. If you are a bad person, wear whatever, be a gangster.
Secret room
There is a secret room. But it's a secret.
