Filming Against the Windmills:
Porn, Power, and Independent Resistance

With Emre Busse

An AORTAlive Artist Talk

Zoom link sent out morning-of / Class starts at 3pm EST
**Recording available for 7 days after the class**

Independent filmmaker and art historian Emre Busse examines the challenge of existing within academia while maintaining an independent position in the billion-dollar film industry—where resisting mainstream narratives and creating politically and artistically meaningful work is an ongoing struggle. How does one navigate both the constraints of institutionalized knowledge and the pressures of an industry driven by commercial imperatives, all while sustaining an artistic and critical voice?

Join us for this critical talk with award-winning pornographer and porn scholar Emre Busse, after which Emre has a special surprise screening in store for attendees...

Open to all 18+
