This event has passed.

A story driven program with diverse cinematic filmmaking styles: documentaries, narrative, animation, and more.

  • Khaltsha Cycling Academy, the first all-girls cycling group in Khayelitsha Township, South Africa empowers young women to defy societal norms, find freedom and dream beyond the limits of their neighborhood.
  • As a boy growing up, Samuel Mugisha dreamed of being a part of the Rwandan national cycling team, Team Rwanda, as he believed it would be a way to help make money for his family. What he discovered was something else entirely. In a country trying to get over the trauma of a genocide, Team Rwanda represents a lot more than sport.
  • The Gaza Sunbirds are a Palestinian para-cycling team founded by Alaa Al Dali after he lost his leg in 2018. Turning personal adversity into collective strength, the team competes internationally and delivers aid within Gaza.
  • Volunteers pilot pedal-powered rickshaws, giving elderly passengers the joy of biking while often finding even greater reward themselves.
