About BFF

In 2001, Brendt Barbur founded the Bicycle Film Festival after being hit by a bus while cycling in New York City. What began as a personal journey became a global celebration of cycling through powerful stories featuring leading voices in art, film, music and advocacy. Since then, the BFF has reached more than one million people in over 100 cities from Paris, Tokyo, CDMX, Cape Town, Istanbul and beyond. Hosted in iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Barbican in London, BFF brings cycling culture to life. We are enthusiastic to bring this experience back to San Diego.
