Kenzi Crash, long time photographer, more recent videographer, and rockstar DP and Gaffer for AORTA films is hosting a workshop to share their experience and craft in the realm of lighting. How to do it, what works, what doesn't, how to make your content creation look better and (don’t worry-we got you!) how to work with household items to create gorgeous content on a budget.

We’ll talk about different types of lighting, how to find your light, and run through some tangible examples of how images they have shot were made. This workshop will be open for discussion, Q&A, and will hopefully answer all the questions you have and then some! If you're struggling with making things look as good as you want in your content creation and/or artistic work, then this workshop is for you!

About your Presenter:

Kenzi Crash (all pronouns) is a multidisciplinary artist documentarian of their own world and a fantasizer of alternative realities.  She is a queer archivist, a sex and kink positive artist, a smut peddler, and a hopeful visionary of the future. Wielding a camera as their main tool of expression for the past two decades she has contributed to the realization of countless other people’s fantasies, successfully experimented with moving images, and memorialized hundreds of members of her community. She has long been fascinated by the edges; of sensation, of the gender binary, of the socially acceptable. Queer sexuality has repeatedly proven itself to be the theater and the stage for these edges to be witnessed, shared, and felt.
