How are the perspectives of women advancing change on our streets in cities around
the world? From one-day cycling demonstrations and weekly “bike buses” to the design
of safe routes and low-traffic neighborhoods, how are female perspectives informing
how we use the public-right-of-way? What gender disparities influence who cycles and
what cultural attitudes marginalize or protect those who ride? This panel of urban
experts and advocates will discuss global models, their relationship to the development
of New York City's lanes, and their hopes for the future of cycling cities.
